![]() Not sure what other choices are nearby, but if Margaritas had been nearby, it would have been a better choice. Good Mexican food can be hard to come by in New England so everything is relative. I can't help but wonder how much better the meal could have been since most of the food seemed promising but in the end fell short of expectations. Both of our entrees could have used more enchilada sauce. The refries were good, but the rice was just rice, nothing special at all. My wife had the Bandera Mexica which was OK, but nothing special. My Del Mar was OK, but the crab enchilada was overcooked and quite dry inside. The chili verde was absolutely outstanding! Sadly the rest of our order was not much better than average for the area. We immediately ordered a bowl, then set about looking at the menu. ![]() We arrived on a cold December day and were lucky to have spotted the chili verde special on the blackboard as we arrived. The low ceilings and rustic log walls give you the impression that you are in an old building somewhere south of the border. The owners did a nice job with the decor. The interior has a good sized bar area and several small to medium sized dining areas. ![]() The building is a rambling affair that was probably someone's home at one time.
